The Hydration Routine: Deep Moisture and Barrier Support for Thirsty Skin

If your skin feels tight after cleansing, flaky by midday, or just never quite "drinks" your moisturiser the way it should — dehydration or a compromised barrier is usually the reason. The Hydration Routine is built to fix that.

Who It's For

This routine is designed for dehydrated, dry and sensitive skin. It focuses on replenishing moisture and reinforcing your skin's natural barrier, rather than treating a specific concern like tone or texture. If your skin feels uncomfortable more often than it feels calm, this is the place to start.

The 3 Steps

1. Cleanse — F+A Cleansing Foam

Dry and dehydrated skin needs a cleanser that won't undo the hydration work that comes after it. The Cleansing Foam is formulated with rose flower water, chamomile extract and calendula extract to clean gently without disturbing the skin barrier.

How to use: Massage onto damp skin morning and night, then rinse with lukewarm (not hot) water — hot water strips moisture faster than anything else in your routine.

2. Hydrate — F+A Double Hydration Boost Gel + HA

This is the step that makes the biggest difference for dry and dehydrated skin. A lightweight gel formulated with sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and algae leaf extract, it draws moisture into the skin and plumps it from within — exactly what dehydrated skin is missing before a moisturiser can do its job properly.

How to use: Apply 2–3 drops to slightly damp skin morning and night, right after cleansing.

3. Protect — F+A Moisturising Day Cream

The final step seals everything in. Formulated with aloe vera, jojoba oil, banana flower extract and berry extract, it forms a comfortable, breathable layer that protects skin from moisture loss throughout the day.

How to use: Apply generously as the last step in your morning and evening routine — don't be shy with the amount if your skin runs dry.

Why This Routine Works

Dehydrated skin needs two things: a moisture source it can actually absorb, and something to stop that moisture evaporating straight back out. The Double Hydration Boost Gel does the first job, drawing water into the skin, while the Day Cream seals it in and keeps it there. The Cleansing Foam makes sure neither step is undone before you've even started. Used consistently, most people notice less tightness and flaking within a couple of weeks.
